    So if I’m reading the page Setting up Kubernetes Clusters in Rancher correctly, I will not have a few of the abilities at the bottom of the table if I import a vanilla on-prem virtual machine k8s.io cluster into Rancher? Will I have full compatibility if I install vanilla k8s.io kubernetes if it’s done through rancher? (I’m not limited to deploying RKE1/RKE2 in rancher?)

    Hi all, i'm hoping to understand the motivation for k3s-server to dynamically sign new certificates like so. From code it handles the short-lived certs and adding new SAN (i know it also consults with
    dynamic-cert.json
    (but couldn't find it in the code) Wondering why is this departure from standard K8s? I don't seem to find docs regarding this on K8s.

    Hey are there instructions anywhere for manually removing a control plane node? We have 2 cp/etcd (5 total, 3 healthy) nodes that are in a bad state of some kind and the instructions say to remove them...but they won't remove. Rancher just stalls at "removing member [etcd-blah-m3]". I think this may have happened because we tried to add and remove cp 1 cp node at the same time. In one screen Rancher says that it's waiting for the new one to provision, in the provision log, its saying its waiting for the removed one to be removed. I've removed the one it was waiting to provision but it's just continuing to wait for the non-existing none to provision.

    In an RKE cluster (without a cloud provider configured) is there a way to have Rancher automatically removed worker nodes from the cluster after it's been unavailable/unreachable for X amount of time?

    Can anybody tell me whether there is a way to modify or control the retention policy for Rancher logs? Specifically, the short-lived container logs and any other logs useful for realtime tracking of occasional Rancher glitches? Is there a way to persist such logs?

does
<http://artifactdxx.us.platforms.dev/registry-1.docker.io-approved/rancher/rancher-agent:v2.7.0|artifactdxx.us.platforms.dev/registry-1.docker.io-approved/rancher/rancher-agent:v2.7.0>
exist? can you pull it successfully by hand?
You might also check the containerd log file, sometimes it contains a more verbose error message than what you can get from the event.

@creamy-pencil-82913 yes repo is valid and I can pull the image by docker pull manually. systemctl doesn't show anything specific. It worked before I accidentally deleted rancher container. Them I ran new rancher and trying to import RKE2 cluster but doesn't work. Maybe some old certs must be removed?
