(Sorry, not allowed to edit anymore): I deactivated kubernetes for testing and after a restart, the error went away. But it's still not possible to connect to the engine via WSL2 (e.g. via IntelliJ): "Cannot connect: org.apache.hc.core5.http.NoHttpResonseException: 127.0.0.1:80 failed to respond" Is there any migration guide I can follow? Thank you!

In the release notes for v2.7.0 here: https://github.com/rancher/rancher/releases/tag/v2.7.0 There is "With the release of Rancher v2.7.0, several legacy features have been removed. See the Removed Legacy Features section below for details." I don't see that section in the release notes though... Edit: Found it

Hi All, The (mistakenly placed) comma (,) between enviormental variables while you setup k3s via script install shows clsuter as ready. But do not allow to pull any container images at all.
    root@denver-metal-242:~# curl -sfL <https://get.k3s.io> | INSTALL_K3S_EXEC="server --disable traefik,servicelb", INSTALL_K3S_VERSION={v1.25.4+k3s1} sh -
    [INFO] Using {v1.25.4+k3s1} as release

[INFO] env: Creating environment file /etc/systemd/system/k3s.service.env
[INFO] systemd: Creating service file /etc/systemd/system/k3s.service
    [INFO] systemd: Enabling k3s unit
    Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/k3s.service → /etc/systemd/system/k3s.service.
    [INFO] systemd: Starting k3s
    Try
    kubectl get nodes
and you can see clsuter ready. Try to run a simple pod and it remains in pending state forever.
    crictl img
returns nothign at all. (which means even though 1 node clsuter is setup, it simply can not download any container images) Feel free to cross check. Run same command w/o comma and everything works as expected.
    root@denver-metal-242:~# curl -sfL <https://get.k3s.io> | INSTALL_K3S_EXEC="server --disable traefik,servicelb" INSTALL_K3S_VERSION={v1.25.4+k3s1} sh -
Why can't there be proper error if one runs wrong command/puts wrong value in install script command.

In the documentation of v2.6 what is the best documentation to follow to set up a local 3 node kubernetes cluster with rancher manager? would that be https://docs.ranchermanager.rancher.io/v2.6/getting-started/quick-start-guides/deploy-rancher-manager/helm-cli ?

I'm finding the wording in the Rancher support matrix a little confusing,
For Imported RKE2 Clusters after 1.24.x, please refer to the for system requirements. For RKE2 Clusters before 1.24.x, please refer to the combined Rancher 2.6.6 Support Matrix which contains this information in a single view.
It mentions BEFORE 1.24.x and AFTER 1.24.x, so that leaves out 1.24.x 😄 https://www.suse.com/suse-rancher/support-matrix/all-supported-versions/rancher-v2-7-0/

Quick question - I have grafana agent operator deployed in a Rancher cluster, the agent can’t access a service metrics endpoint in another project, even though it finds the endpoint and can get the IP and port properly. The agent has a ClusterRoleBinding that’s not namespace restricted, so it should work shouldn’t it?

Hi what's the version of K8s support by the latest Terraform Rancher2 provider? I guess it's linked to a version or RKE but the change log or release log don't mention anything about it.

Hello everyone, I'm looking for help regarding the rancher-monitoring-stack, I want to setup an external alertmanager but I don't find the value for customize the helm charts, for exemple in the prometheus community helm charts we can customize this:
    server:
      affinity: {}
      alertmanagers: []
      baseURL: ''
      configMapOverrideName: ''
      configPath: /etc/config/prometheus.yml

Hi, I am new to kubernetes and rancher and had a networking question for local installation of rancher desktop on Mac M1. I have a container that needs to post/get via python to another container. They can use the internal service to get access but I would like to use the egress url. That doesn't seem to work. Is there a way to update the rancher dns to automatically add the egress hostnames to the dns? using WGET, I see the other container using service address: /app # wget forms-flow-forms:3001 Connecting to forms-flow-forms:3001 (10.43.229.6:3001) saving to 'index.html' index.html 100% |***************************************************************************************************************************************************| 2195 0:00:00 ETA 'index.html' saved Using egress url, no go: /app # wget http://forms-flow-forms-flow.localhost wget: bad address 'forms-flow-forms-flow.localhost' But from my browser, i have access to: http://forms-flow-forms-flow.localhost

I am new to rancher. I am having an issue setting up EKS cluster with rancher server. I am creating the EKS cluster from the rancher server UI, which is running on an EC2 instance, accessing via an ALB. Cluster is shown as created in AWS console, but stuck in "Waiting for API to be available" in rancher UI. Also seeing '[Disconnected] Cluster agent is not connected' message. Only have public access configured for the API Server endpoint. Additionally, I am deploying the EKS cluster in the same VPC/subnet the rancher server instance is deployed in. Any ideas?
