I installed rancher in eks with an helm chart. rancher installed the rancher agent related components in the cluster. when I uninstalled the helm chart the rancher server components are gone but the agent components are still there in the cluster. Is this the expected behaviour?

Hi team, Hope you are doing well. I’m trying to understand if i follow this link https://www.suse.com/c/rancher_blog/building-a-highly-available-kubernetes-cluster/ by default I will have leader elected in the etcd nodes and control planes nodes. Do I need to configure keepalived or o other option in case of failover and high availability?

Hello. I have an issue with rancher desktop on macos where the time between my docker container (and host VM) has a skew of about 1s with the host machine. Is there anyway to fix that? Forcing synchronisation with ntpd didn't improve the situation. Is there a way to manually set the time to the same time as the host machine?

hello everyone, I have for sure a dumb ass question, but honestly a bit confused on how to look the answer, I want to create a HA Cluster using my private network, the public network is over interface eno1 and private over eno2 I saw options like --node-ip and --node-external-ip, are those the one I need to use to allow my cluster to communicate over private network? I want communication like for e.g.: Ingress -> service -> pod going through private network

Howdy all, upgrading my single docker container Rancher 2.4x instances to v2.5.16. I see that the “internal” k3s cluster is supposed to show up in the UI as a “local” cluster now - however it is showing as 0 nodes. Any ideas? I did run with the
    --privileged
    flag.

Rancher can run in any Kubernetes cluster. Getting Kubernetes (etcd in particular) to happily run across three datacenters might be an interesting task. You’d need to keep the datastore latency down, so they would probably need to be pretty close to each other.

to use AWS terminology, three zones (which are generally 3 different buildings) is ok, 3 regions (totally different regions) is not
3 different datacenters in the same geographical area with direct fiber connectivity is in the grey/maybe area in my opinion
