Good afternoon channel, we've got a brand new AWS EKS cluster that we attempted to import into Rancher, and getting this error: Cluster must have at least one managed nodegroup. Googling the error produced some opened/closed issues, but nothing on how to really get it fixed/import successfully. Rancher version is v2.6.4 EKS is also integrated with SpotInst, so no plans on creating NodeGroups via console/rancher per se Any suggestions ?

I am completely new to Rancher, and trying to setup my first rancher server for evaluation. I elected to use the docker installation as it appeared to be the simplest for my purposes. However, I cannot get it to work. I created a new Ubuntu server, with the latest iso file. I installed Docker using the instructions from the Docker website. All seemed goo to this point. I then used the following command to start the Rancher docker image. docker run -d --restart=unless-stopped -p 80:80 -p 443:443 --privileged -v /opt/rancher:/var/lib/rancher rancher/rancher:latest docker ps indicates the container is running, however on checking the container logs, all is not right. I am getting the error, and cannot seem to find the cause. Can anyone shed any light on what I may be doing wrong.

basically, able to create the ec2s but not able to get inside of it to install docker and other libraries and binaries, this is a automated process done by Rancher.

Hey there, we had a serious incident the other day with one of our rancher server managed rke cluster , all our apiservers were burning all the hosts ram, >70GB. We spun up an extra apiserver on a very big machine, it then ate 450GB for few dozen of minutes before reducing to ~7GB. Have you seen such behavior previously ? We're running rancher 2.6.5 and 1.20.15. thanks

Using rancher desktop 1.5.1 i'm having an issue with changing the cpu/ram allocation for the VM running the node. Upon increasing the CPU and Ram allocation limits the VM will get more CPU resources but not RAM for some reason that stays at the default value.

Hello, I've been having this problem for some time, looked and a lot of places up to no avail, and a friend told me that he had help with it here on the Rancher slack. The error is: docker: Error response from daemon: Get "https://registry-1.docker.io/v2/": unexpected EOF. See 'docker run --help'. I got this error on every docker run or docker pull command 😕 Someone knows how to solve this please 🙂
